After an effective 15-20 minutes laying out the problem, he segued into “Actions”. Great! Where do us environmentalists go from here? How do we respond to the great existential threat? Well, not to worry, per Mr. Sinclair, market forces are taking care of it. Now that the price of renewables has fallen to next to nothing, the big corporations have got our backs! Now we have G.M., Mitsubishi, Dow Chemical and the like to thank for saving our planet.

With nothing for citizens groups to do we can dissolve our “Action Councils” knowing we are safely in the hands of big business and the forces of the market. What rubbish!
