Environmentalist of the Year

NMEAC Environmentalist of the Year

NMEAC is the only organization in the region to recognize the environmental work and advocacy of so many groups and individuals across our region. We rely on you to nominate those most deserving of these awards. Nominations closed on March 24 - thank you!

Our 30th Annual Environmentalist of the Year Awards & Celebration was held on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Dennos Museum and Milliken Auditorium. The evening was a true celebration of many hard working environmentalists. Seeing them mingling in the Dennos atrium was a joy to watch. Hearing Brotha James, listening to Holly Bird speak about Native American experience and beliefs, and hearing recipients speak their truths, was inspirational.
