Online via ZoomMichigan's Climate and the Fight for Clean Energy Webinar
NMEAC proudly presents “Michigan’s Climate and the Fight for Clean Energy,” a webinar featuring renowned climate videographer Peter Sinclair. Peter is a longtime Michigan resident and environmental communicator who has spent decades documenting how climate change impacts our state—from warming Great Lakes and erratic weather patterns to shifting wildlife habitats. He also highlights real-world examples of communities and industries forging a path toward renewable energy solutions like wind, solar, and advanced battery storage.
During this session, Peter will share clips and insights from his extensive video work, helping us understand the challenges and promising opportunities Michigan faces in transforming the energy landscape. You’ll learn about local success stories, the latest clean energy technologies, and what it will take to make a difference as we embrace a low-carbon future.
Why attend?
First, you'll gain a visually compelling picture of climate issues affecting our backyards. Second, you’ll walk away with knowledge and inspiration on practical solutions—tangible steps we can all take to support a just, sustainable energy transition. Finally, by participating, you’ll become part of a conversation shaping the future of Michigan’s economy, environment, and quality of life.
There will be time for Q&A following the presentation.
