Lower Platte River Clean-Up

Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes is sponsoring a River Clean-up for the Lower Platte River. Bring your kayak or canoe, paddles, and Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) – or use equipment provided by the Riverside canoe livery. There will be a sign-up table and a couple of short presentations by NPS Rangers, a Forestry Specialist, and a pair of River Clean-up specialists (Gerald and Sue Wilgus).

If you enjoy this activity, we would encourage you to join our Adopt-A-River program where you can paddle the Crystal or Platte Rivers and help us keep the rivers clean and safe all summer long!
